The Frostbite Time Trial returns to the opening weekend for the 2013 racing season. This year the course will be in Carnation, WA along the old Carnation TT Short Course. Let me repeat that - The 2013 Frostbite Time Trial is in Carnation, WA. Do not go to the previous year's location. I am not even going to say where that was so you will not get confused.

Day of Race Info - VERY IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ!

You must show up between 6:30 and 7:45 to check in and pick up your race number. NO WSBA NUMBERS! Regardless of your start time, you must show up by 7:45. This ensures we know who has showed up to race, ensures accurate timing and results, and eliminates vehicle traffic from the race course.

Again - YOU MUST SHOW UP BETWEEN 6:30 AND 7:45 TO CHECK IN AND GET YOUR RACE NUMBER

The 2013 Frostbite Time Trial

...has a date: Saturday, February 23, with racers off at 8am.

...has a new location! It's now in Carnation, the same 20(+)km point-to-point course as the first course from the Carnation Time Trials from years past.

Come out and measure your off-season training, or come out and jump-start your 2013 season!

This is the first race of the season! Expect cool temps and wet roads!

You will be required to have a USA Cycling License or purchase a one-day license. One-day licenses for Cat 5 men or Cat 4 women can be purchased at registration. Or get your annual license at USA Cycling's Website.

Saturday, February 23rd - flat race approximately 20.3k (12.6 miles) - map

Start Time: 8:00 am

Registration & Cost: - $25 first race, $15 second race. Tax included.

Day of race registration = NONE. Nada. NO DAY OF RACE REGISTRATION. In the quest for accurate and timely results, the Frostbite TT will not have day of race registration. This is the way its been for the past several years and it has worked very well. And, let's face it, this race sells out in advance anyways.

Park your vehicle in the Tolt Middle school parking lot. Secondary parking is located across SR-203 at the baseball fields. Do not park on the streets.

Individual race prizes will be either cash or schwag 3 deep per category. The categories will be combined and removed if fewer than ten racers sign up in a category.

NUMBERS - We will be providing your race number. NO WSBA NUMBERS NEEDED OR ALLOWED.

Due to popular demand: a RETRO category! (No aero equipment, just you and your road bike...) and a Women's 50+ event!

Start Times: Will be posted no later than Friday, February 22 at noon. You will be notified via email that times are posted online.

No transfers of registration after Tuesday, February 19.

Note that this race is very early in the season. If this race cannot be run because of weather (snow, ice, flooding) or other Acts Of God (tm) then we will refund as much of your entry fees as we possibly can, but we cannot swallow the entire event's costs: we will likely spread the costs we've already incurred (police, prizes, venue) to the racers.
(Let's just hope for rideable weather! And let's start this 2013 season off right!)

* Retro category rules - standard road bike, no aero bars, standard wheels, no aero helmets. Face it, if you have to ask whether its allowed it probably isn't.
